I like the Cain adventures but this book has errors I don't understand. There were numerous misspelled words many being a different word with an inapplicable meaning. The verbs were all over the place wrong. Present tense when past was appropriate. Past tense when perfect was appropriate. The story was okay. A little wordy, and some not so good attempts at being witty. Jason is a former military type who becomes a real estate broker specializing in properties for embassy types on alien planets. He finds himself tricked into being the fall guy for a heist of a sacred object the loss of which threatens to start an interplanetary war that includes the destruction of earth. He thinks he's James Bond, but he's more Ellery Queen. You'd be amazed at who was responsible for his problems.Product details

The Enclaves of Sylox Jason King Agent to the Stars Book 1 eBook TR Harris Reviews
Easy read Sci/Fi with plots twists and actions that keep the reader engaged. Hybrid between Sci/Fi and Mystery. Good personality interplay between the major characters with romance and humor sprinkled in with the vivid action spanning the galaxy.
I have read all but the last two books with Adam Cain and I loved them all. But the enclaves of sylox I did not know but I said what the h_'ll. What a great book to me a slow start but hold on when the ride starts you will not put it down and I cannot wait until the next one great book
Fantastic book. I enjoyed the other Harris series, and I like how this one does not try and reinvent the wheel. While it does not take place in the same universe, many of the same technical aspects do. Beyond that, this first book sets up a great world, great characters, and leaves questions to be answered. Nicely written book, and I am a buyer for the next one!
I was tempted to give it a lower rating, because the book was not as long as presented by my KIndle app. The book ends at what my app says was 60% into the story. The other 40% was his other book (which I have read before). I took into account that this is probably more of an issue with the limitations of the app, rather than a misrepresentation from the author.
Edited to say Got caught up in complaining about thinking I had 40% more left to the book, and forgot to mention that I enjoyed this book as much as this author's other books. Patiently waiting for the next book in this series.
as usual, this guy writes a great book, not the best one here by any chance but still very entertaining
this is sorta in the same universe as' the human chronicles' but the reason/way they got there is a little different
plus the story line is actually just a burglar story made entirely fun by the simple act of being in an alien setting
If you want the originality of the chronicles series, expect a little less but.............
Like all his work, this is worth every penny and the time to read it
Frankly, this book is not as good as Mr. Harris' other series of the Human Chronicles. It just left me feeling like something was missing. The humor was flat and the plot seemed very contrived. The characters were flat, and the first person narrative just did not sit well with this reviewer.
I generally like this author's works, and this book was OK, but just OK. I enjoyed re-reading the first book in the Human Chronicle series that was attached at the end of the novel more that The Enclaves of Sylox. I also did not like the shameless plug for another book right in the middle of this novel.
Like I said, It was OK and worth 3 stars, but no more.
I just finished "The Enclaves of Sylox" and am a fan of his Human Chronicles series so I expected lots of action and humor.
"The Enclaves of Sylox" doesn't disappoint in either case and readers will find the ending quite thrilling if not unexpected.
I found the first third of the book rather boring as (in my opinion) it went quite in depth with the dreariness of purchasing a new home. I realize that part of this process was to set up the storyline, but if you have ever bought a house (as I have), you may be pained by the first few chapters.
I highly recommend this new book by T. R. Harris and look forward to Jason King's further adventures.
